Welcome to AP Geography!
The Advanced Placement Human Geography class is equivalent to that of a college introductory-level geography class. The curriculum, which focuses on human geography, concentrates on the study of patterns and processes that shape human understanding, use, and modification of the Earth, as well as cultivating fundamental geographic skills and knowledge. Students will be prepared for and expected to take the AP Human Geography Test in May. This class will feature lectures, scholarly discussion, research projects, and debate over geographic issues. The class will study current events on multiple scales (international, national, and local), as a way to understand the practicality of geographic education and its application to the “real word.” |
